Master of Intellectual Property (MIP)

Master of Laws in Intellectual Property (LL.M.)

For over 40 years, the University of New Hampshire School of Law, and its Franklin Pierce Center for Intellectual Property, have been pioneers in hands-on intellectual property education.

UNH Law offers one of the most comprehensive IP curricula in the country, exposing students to a broad-range of cutting-edge intellectual property issues.

Today the Master or LL.M. degree is available in three program formats: through our traditional residency program in New Hampshire, through a limited residency option, or via a fully online option. Students who pursue any one of these options will earn the same University of New Hampshire School of Law degree.

• Available in Residential, Limited Residential or Online program (Limited Residential and Online programs focus on patent law)

• Admission in August and January for Residential and Online

• Admission in August only for Limited Residential

• Master requires 30 credits

LL.M. requires 24 credits, or  30 credits for candidates without a law degree

• Full-time or part-time
(Residential students must be ful-time, Limited Residential students must be full-time first semester, Online may be full or part-time)
• Full-time must complete degree in 12 months

• Part-time must complete degree within 5 years

• Graduation ceremony in May
