Peter C. Lando is one of the founding partners of Lando & Anastasi, LLP.  Mr. Lando is regularly involved in opinions and due diligence investigations for acquisitions and divestitures of IP portfolios.  He also has been the primary negotiator, or lead counsel, in countless licensing and related business transactions.  He is a trusted strategic advisor in the development and management of intellectual property for established, and emerging, technology businesses in numerous market sectors.

Mr. Lando has extensive experience in the chemical process industries, water and wastewater treatment technologies, polymers, small particles, specialty metals and ceramics, medical devices and mechanical and industrial designs. He is one of the country’s leading IP attorneys on clean and green technologies and is sought-after counsel by venture capital investors in these technologies.

Mr. Lando was named in IAM 250 – The World’s Leading Patent and Technology Licensing Lawyers 2011/2012, where he was described as “clearly outstanding in terms of his knowledge of IP law”. Mr. Lando is admitted to practice law in Massachusetts, various federal courts, and before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. He received his JD from the University of New Hampshire School of Law and his BS in chemical engineering from Drexel University, where he was honored as a recipient of the 2006 College of Engineering Alumni Circle of Distinction Award. Mr. Lando also has an MBA in management from Rutgers University. 

He has served on the Board of Trustees of the University of New Hampshire School of Law (chair, Development Committee), and on Advisory Councils of the Drexel University College of Engineering, the Rutgers University School of Engineering, and Worcester Polytechnic Institute.  In addition to his university-related Board service, Mr. Lando is a past president of the Boston Patent Law Association.  He is a founding member of the Boston IP Inn of Court and maintains memberships in the Licensing Executive Society and the American Intellectual Property Law Association.  Mr. Lando also currently serves as a member and Clerk of the Board of Directors of the Boston Philharmonic Orchestra (chair, Governance Committee).
