LLM, Master’s & Diploma

Graduate Programs offers LLM & Master degrees and Diploma certificates

LLM degree          Application

Applicants to the LLM program must hold either a baccalaureate law degree from a foreign law faculty, a recognized equivalent law degree or a JD degree from a law school prior to matriculation in the program.

The LLM degree program enables practicing attorneys to experience financial, career and personal success by earning the mark of distinction of the Master of Laws degree. Only a very small percentage of the world's lawyers distinguish themselves with a proven academic record of subject expertise.

Master degree          Application

Applicants to the Master degree program must hold a baccalaureate degree prior to matriculation in the program.

The interdisciplinary Master degree for non-lawyers focuses on the acquisition of both substantive knowledge and practical skills through innovative academic courses and internships with corporations, law firms and governmental agencies. The Master’s degree provides graduate-level academic experience to business executives, technology managers, administrators, patent and trademark practitioners, diplomats, human rights workers, and international policing specialists.

The LLM and Master degrees are offered in three concentrations:

  • Intellectual Property
  • Commerce & Technology
  • International Criminal Law & Justice (expected to be offered only as an online degree starting in the summer of 2014)

Diploma certificate         Application

The UNH School of Law’s Diploma certificate was the first of its kind in the United States to provide legal training in intellectual property for managers as well as lawyers. The Diploma is an interdisciplinary program, designed to meet the needs of working professionals for a career in intellectual property or commerce and technology. The Diploma program incorporates the same course work as the Master’s degree, but is designed for students who cannot afford the time or money to attend the one-year Master’s program. The program enrolls lawyers, law students, business executives, patent and trademark practitioners, administrators and technology managers and focuses on the acquisition of both substantive knowledge and practical skills through innovative academic coursework.

The Diploma certificate is offered in two concentrations: Intellectual Property and Commerce & Technology.  Read more>> Diploma Certificate
