Ann M. McCrackin joined the intellectual property faculty in the fall of 2007 and is responsible for directing the Patent Practice and Procedure Program. McCrackin is a registered patent attorney affiliated with Schwegman, Lundberg & Woessner, P.A. in Minneapolis, MN. Her practice focuses on computer architecture, software, and business methods and she specializes in international patent protection and reexamination.
McCrackin is co-editor and contributing author for Electronic and Software Patents: Law and Practice, and co-author of the Association of University Technology Managers Technology Transfer Practice Manual. She lectures throughout the U.S. on various patent prosecution topics.
In 2002, she was named a "Rising Star" by the Minnesota Law & Politics magazine. McCrackin is a member of the American Intellectual Property Law Association and Licensing Executives Society.
McCrackin is a 1997 graduate of Pierce Law. She earned her BS degree in speech communication with a minor in computer science and English with a technical writing emphasis from Iowa State University.
