China Town Hall featuring former US Secretary of State Albright (via webcast) & Student Art Show
Please join the Franklin Pierce Center for Intellectual Property at the University of New Hampshire School of Law, the World Affairs Council of New Hampshire, and the National Committee on US-China Relations next Monday, October 28th at 6pm in room 274 for the 7th annual China Town Hall, featuring former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright, UNH Law Professor Jiarui Liu, and UNH Law Professor Emeritus Bill Hennessey.
At 6pm, Professor Liu will offer remarks on "Rock and Roll on the New Long March: Copyright Piracy and the Music Industry in China," followed by Q&A. At 7pm, Professor Albright will comment on US-China affairs via broadcast to UNH and over 50 other locations across the country; she will then respond to questions submitted in advance of the event. Professor Hennessey will moderate the evening's discussion.
Following the town hall, the UNH Law Sports & Entertainment Law Society will host a Student Art Show and reception outside of room 205, featuring photographs that depict a day in the life of a law student, curated by Brittany Friestad. Cocktails and hors d'oeuvres will be served. A number of student works are already slated to be displayed, but the committee has extended the deadline to accept submissions, so please email SELS@law.unh.edu for details about sharing your photographs or other artwork.
More information about China Town Hall is available here. The event is free and open to the public, but seating is limited.
