'Cyberwar: Overhyped or Overdue?' With National Security Expert Stewart Baker

National security expert Stewart Baker will give a talk at UNH Law's Rudman Center on Thursday, Oct. 10, titled “Cyberwar: Overhyped or Overdue?"   Read more>>

Baker, a partner in the Washington office of Steptoe & Johnson LLP, created and held the position of first Assistant Secretary for Policy at the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, from 2005 to early 2009. He is the former general counsel for the National Security Administration.

He advocated for better use of modern technology for tracking terrorists, including the use of electronic surveillance and better coordination with law enforcement officials. He also noted the importance of recognizing and protecting privacy and civil liberties.
