International Students - English As a Second Language (ESL)
The ESL Institute located at the University of New Hampshire in Durham, presents an opportunity for international students to refine their English language skills prior to beginning their program at UNH Law in the fall.
This program is optional, not mandatory, and is open to any admitted UNH Law student who may be interested.

See what our students have to say about their experience at the ESL Institute at UNH.
The ESL summer program at UNH is really helpful, especially to those who come to America for the first time.
The teachers there are really nice and patient. You can learn basic writing and speaking skills there.
What's more, it is a good chance to adopt to the environment and climate before you come to UNH School of Law .
From my point of my view, ESL program is helpful prior to entering into the formal class.
I should say that the atmosphere of ESL class is very active, harmonious and relaxed. And it means that we have more time to adjust well to the new life.
In order to be more effective, there is a placement test before the class begins. Students will join in the different level class according to the scores.
All the teachers in the ESL program are friendly and responsible. Everyone enjoys the class.
