Dean’s Merit Scholarship
Grade-point Average Requirement for Renewal

Scholarship retention is determined annually.

Recipients are required to achieve a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher to retain the original scholarship award.

The recipient’s cumulative GPA is evaluated at the end of his/her second regular semester and at the end of his/her fourth regular semester of study.

If a Dean's Merit Scholar earns a cumulative GPA between a 2.80 and 3.19 either at the end of the second or fourth semester the scholarship will be renewed on a pro-rata basis based on the original award as outlined below:

The student who earns a cumulative GPA below a 2.80 at the end of the first two regular semesters will lose his/her merit scholarship for the next two regular semesters.
- If at the end of the fourth semester the student’s GPA is 2.80 or higher the scholarship will be reinstated according to the terms outlined above for the student’s final two semesters.
