University of New Hampshire

School of Law

At UNH Law, you'll find yourself in a small, supportive atmosphere, where professors know your name and welcome the chance to help you start your legal career. Our location in Concord, New Hampshire gives you the best of both worlds: a charming, walkable New England town with easy access to Boston. The state government and the state & federal court systems are right around the corner.

Our pioneering experience in practice-ready education means that you'll be able to choose from a wide range of clinics and legal residency placements (both here in New Hampshire and throughout the country). In fact, 95% of the class of 2012 joined a clinic or did a legal residency.

You’ll also find a wealth of opportunities to dive deeper into our areas of expertise. As a leader in intellectual property law for 40 years, UNH Law’s Franklin Pierce Center for IP provides a great range of courses in patent, trademark, and copyright law. Our students get hands-on experience drafting patent applications, working in our Intellectual Property & Transaction Clinic, and running the nation’s oldest student-run IP law review.

This fall we are launching the Sports and Entertainment Law Institute, run by noted sports law expert Michael McCann. Students will gain hands-on experience in sport and entertainment law, coupled with our historic strengths in trademark and copyright law.

Whatever your reasons for transferring are, let us show you how UNH Law may be just the right fit.
