Law Review Publications - Application Procedure

University of New Hampshire Law Review and IDEA®: The Journal of the Franklin Pierce Center for Intellectual Property

Each Law Review accepts applications from first and second year JD students. Applicants must be willing to serve on the Law Review for at least 2 terms. Applicants must be in good standing and in residence (local Legal Residencies only) for their first year.

Application Procedure

All applicants must complete the entire application, which consists of editing and citation exercises, a case comment exercise, and a short statement of commitment. The executive boards of both journals review the applications and make final determinations.  Applications from individuals ranked in the top 10% of the first year class will be given substantial weight.  Expectations and duties include the following:

  • Attending a training session at the beginning of the year;
  • Writing a student note, possibly for publication, in either journal or for the student note competition;
  • Editing articles for publication;
  • Attending meetings; and
  • Other duties as assigned.
