The University of New Hampshire School of Law is ranked No. 5 in the country for the study of intellectual property law, according to the 2017 edition of U.S. News & World Report’s America’s Best Graduate Schools. UNH Law has ranked among the top 10 in IP every year since the inception of the rankings, a run of 25 consecutive years.

Additionally, the school climbed to No. 82 on the list of the country’s top 100 law schools, completing a leap of 60 positions in the last four years.

UNH Law’s Franklin Pierce Center for Intellectual Property boasts one of the most respected and comprehensive patent law and practice programs in the country and a faculty of top IP professors renowned for their scholarship and research, led by Ann Bartow, director of the center.

The center has placed students at an extensive list of corporations for IP legal residencies, and has helped produce an influential network of practitioners working in more than 80 countries around the globe.

UNH Law offers extensive, cutting-edge IP courses that touch on current issues shaping IP law today, like Law & Biotechnology, Online Brand Management and Technology Licensing, as well as two IP-focused clinics – the Intellectual Property and Transaction Clinic and the International Technology Transfer Institute – and IP-focused moot courts and student organizations.
