Earn Global Credentials In Our LLM Programs
Residential, limited residential, and online options available
With your degree in law, our LLM program allows you to focus on an area of expertise and earn global credentials. The master of laws (LLM) is a professional degree designed for students from the United States or abroad who have a law degree and now want to specialize in a particular aspect of the law.
Applicants to the LLM program must hold a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university and a J.D. degree from a law school prior to matriculation into the program. International applicants must hold a baccalaureate law degree from a foreign law faculty prior to matriculation.
We offer LLM degrees in three areas of the law:
- Intellectual Property (available in residential, limited residential, and online formats)
- Commerce & Technology (available in residential format only)
- International Criminal Law & Justice (available in online format only)
We are recognized worldwide for our pioneering work, curricula, and faculty in IP law. Our IP program has been ranked among the Top 10 in the country for more than 25 years. Our Commerce & Technology LLM focuses on enriching your career in the emerging areas of business created by rapid technological change and globalization.
Our online-only International Criminal Law and Justice LLM is an excellent fit for practicing lawyers, professionals, students, and scholars in diplomatic, criminal justice, military, and law enforcement communities around the world. Those students will study transnational law, focused on domestic crimes with international implications.
