Chris Sullivan established the Multistate Tax course at UNH, which he teaches during the Spring Semester.  For more than 20 years, he practiced multistate tax at Rath, Young and Pignatelli, P.C., representing clients in multiple states in forums ranging from administrative agencies and courtrooms to the Legislature.  During his tenure at the firm, he served as the President as well as the Treasurer, and enjoyed the business aspects of running the firm.  In his practice, Chris represented individuals and companies in tax matters before the New Hampshire Department of Revenue Administration, the Massachusetts Department of Revenue, and the Vermont Department of Taxes, creating value for clients during the audit, assessment, refund and appeal processes.  Chris is a nationally recognized speaker on state tax issues, presenting at the Council on State Taxation, the Institute of Professionals in Taxation, the NYU State and Local Tax Institute, the Paul J. Hartman Forum at Vanderbilt, and many others.  Chris was a founding member of the New England State and Local Tax Forum, designed to increase education on state and local tax issues across New England.  Chris graduated with Honors from both Harvard College and from the Georgetown University Law Center.  He clerked for the Honorable Paul J. Barbadoro at the United States District Court for the District of New Hampshire.  He is now the Chief Legal Officer for a series of companies that focus on delivering emergency services across the country.
