John Kind

John Kind concentrates his practice on a broad variety of intellectual property matters to support clients in the high technology and life sciences industries. In particular, he focuses on patent prosecution and advising clients on IP strategies that support their business goals. He has worked with several startups to manage their initial patent filings. John has also provided support as a patent specialist on several large litigation matters and M&A deals.

John’s background in physics and computer simulation allows him to quickly conceptualize and understand a wide range of new technology, particularly inventions that apply complex mathematical analysis to understand and affect the state of systems: physical, online or otherwise. He has significant experience with computer hardware and software as well as both optical and medical devices.

During law school, John served as Lead Articles Editor for IDEA: The Journal of the Franklin Pierce Center for Intellectual Property and President of the Student Intellectual Property Association. Prior to law school, he worked at Fenwick & West as a Patent Agent.
