Mark Hichar

Mark Hichar is a Shareholder of the Greenberg Traurig law firm, and a member of the firm’s Global Gaming Group.  Mr. Hichar’s clients are located in and outside of the United States, and include casinos, fantasy sports operators, social game operators, suppliers of gaming systems and services to gaming operators (both bricks-and-mortar and online), and investors in and lenders to gaming businesses.  He has structured several international and domestic joint venture arrangements involving gaming operators and has managed the regulatory approval process with respect to numerous gaming-related transactions.  Mr. Hichar is a frequent writer and speaker on developments in Gaming Law and related regulatory actions, and has authored several articles on developments in the laws relating to sports betting, fantasy sports and gaming generally.

Mark received his B.A. degree from Yale University, his J.D. from the University of Chicago Law School, and also studied at the Universität Duisberg-Essen, in Essen, Germany.

Mark has been recognized by Best Lawyers of America® (2018-2019) for Gaming Law, and was selected by Gambling Compliance as “Best Regulatory Lawyer of the Year (North America),” 2018.
