This course is designed to give students an overview of the American Legal System and to gain a comfort level with vocabulary and dialogue related to the subject. In addition to learning about United States legal process, each student is required to do a two hour observation at the Federal District Court in Concord, NH in order to get a better understanding of the U.S. court system. Grading is based on class participation and exercises, periodic short assignments and/or quizzes, a court observation paper, and a required presentation.
