Bruce L. Dorner

Adjunct Professor, Law Practice Management

Bruce L. Dorner is an attorney based in Londonderry, New Hampshire. He was awarded a B.S. degree in Criminal Justice from Northeastern University and a J.D. degree from New England School of Law.

He is admitted to practice before all courts in the State of New Hampshire, the Federal District Court, and the Supreme Court of the United States. He has represented individuals, families and small businesses as a “country lawyer” for more than thirty years.

Dorner was the founding chair of the New Hampshire Bar Association Technology Section. At the American Bar Association level he is a past vice-chair of the Computer and Technology Division of the Law Practice Management Section and also a past chair of the Solo and Small Firm Division and held a seat on New Media and Internet Service Board.

He has served as the editor of Word Progress, the ABA newsletter for word processing and document management, and served as a contributing editor to Flying Solo Volume II, published by the ABA. He served the maximum term of office as a member of the Governing Council of the Law Practice Management Section. The President of the ABA appointed him to an unprecedented second term as a member of the ABA Standing Committee on Solo and Small Firm Practitioners. He also served as a liaison to the ABA Standing Committee on Technology and Information Systems. He was recognized as the ABA General Practice Division as the Educator of the Year in 2007.

Dorner was a member of the adjunct faculty at Rivier College in Nashua, New Hampshire. Additionally, he was a member of the Editorial Board of Law Office Technology Solutions by Altman Weil Pensa. He co-authored the column Circuit Court, which appears in Law Office Computing Magazine. He was an editor of Technology & Practice Guide, published by the ABA General Practice Solo and Small Firm Section.

He has lectured and appeared in video presentations on law office automation and management for many state bar associations, the ABA, and for private corporations. His office conducts testing and evaluation of computer software and components for a number of manufacturers and developers.
