Richard E. Samdperil

Richard Samdperil is a criminal defense lawyer and partner at Samdperil & Welsh, PLLC in Exeter, New Hampshire.
Prior to entering private practice, Richard spent eleven years with the New Hampshire Public Defender program as a trial attorney, managing attorney, and assistant appellate defender. Richard has been defense counsel in a number of high profile cases, including homicides, sexual assaults, and NH Supreme Court appeals.
He is a member of the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, the New Hampshire Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, and is currently a Co-Chair of the New Hampshire Bar Association’s Criminal Justice Section.
Richard has authored the Identification chapter of A Practical Guide to Evidence in New Hampshire, which focuses on the use of evidence such as line-ups, fingerprints and DNA in the courtroom.
