Assistant Professor of Legal Skills
Risa Evans teaches Legal Writing and Analysis, Fundamentals of Lawyering, and Writing for Law Practice. These courses focus on core lawyering activities, such as information gathering, factual and legal analysis, predictive and persuasive and writing, and oral advocacy. Each course is designed to help students develop into self-sufficient learners who are able to continue refining their skills throughout their careers.
Before teaching at UNH Law, Professor Evans was a trial lawyer at the New Hampshire Public Defender, an appellate lawyer at the Appellate Defender, and a legal consultant. She is a graduate of Barnard College and Yale Law School.
