Prior to joining UNH School of Law in 2010, Kierstead was a student at Franklin Pierce University studying music technology and mass communications, interning for various organizations like Yankee Publishing Inc. and the Bates Dance Festival.

In Kierstead’s spare time he plays tenor saxophone and is an active electronic musician in New England.
