Insurance Plan for Domestic Students
As a University of New Hampshire School of Law student who is a U.S. resident, you are required to carry health insurance.
2012-2013 Academic Year
If you currently have insurance of your own, or are able to be covered under your parents’ plan, you may opt out of the coverage (please see instructions below). If you do not opt out of the coverage by August 15th, 2012 you will be automatically enrolled in the school's health care plan.
Opting out of insurance
You may opt out of the health insurance offered by the University of New Hampshire School of Law, but will be required to show proof of other health insurance. To opt out of health insurance offered by UNH School of Law please fill out this Online Waiver Form. In order to opt out of the insurance, you must do so by August 15th, 2012 or you will be automatically charged the semester health insurance premium. There are no exceptions to this policy.
2012-2013 Academic Year Commercial Traveler's Accident & Sickness Insurance Costs:
- $1,600 per semester for a student
- $4,781 per semester for a student and spouse
- $6,651 per semester for a student, spouse, and dependent children
Plan coverage runs from September 1, 2012 to September 1, 2013.

If you wish to add your spouse or dependent children to the health insurance policy offered, please supply Carol Legace with the names and dates of birth.

Commercial Traveler's Accident & Sickness Insurance Costs:
- $1,411 per semester for a student
- $4,251.50 per semester for a student and spouse
- $3,080.50 per semester for a student and children
- $5,921 per semester for a student, spouse, and dependent children

Insurance Plan for International Students
UNH Law requires all international students to maintain health insurance. You may bring an insurance policy from your home country as long as it covers you while in the United States. If you need to purchase health insurance we offer the ISO Med option 1 policy. The minimum enrollment for this policy is 3 months.
