
UNH Franklin Pierce School of Law is investing in innovation across Latin America, with an investment of $1.2M in scholarships for members of ASIPI, the premier professional association in Latin America dedicated to intellectual property law. The exclusive partnership between ASIPI and UNH Franklin Pierce School of Law is changing lives through education. ASIPI hosts an annual essay competition to select winners that receive full scholarships for programs including a US JD, a Master’s of Laws, a Master’s of Intellectual Property, and the world-renowned IP Summer Institute. https://law.unh.edu/asipi-partnership. Hybrid Juris Doctor (JD) in Intellectual Property, Technology, and Information Law

The one and only ABA-approved Hybrid JD in IP, Technology, and Information Law prepares students to navigate the complexities of technology and information law.
Program Details:
The program blends flexible online coursework with four in-person immersion sessions per year (held in August, October, March, and June), offering an in-depth, practical education that is responsive to the rapidly changing demands of the global legal market.
The Hybrid JD can be completed in three to three and a half years, with the program beginning each August. It allows you to remain in your home country, continue working, and earn your degree while gaining valuable insights into international legal frameworks.
Master of Laws in Intellectual Property (LLM)
Designed for both U.S. and international lawyers, this LL.M. program offers students the opportunity to learn from leading experts in the field of Intellectual Property. Through hands-on learning opportunities such as the Intellectual Property and Transaction Clinic and the International Technology Transfer Institute, students gain practical experience to complement their academic studies.

This program is available in both on-campus and online formats to accommodate the needs of legal professionals around the world. The on-campus program is offered full-time from August to May, while the online option offers flexible start dates in both August and January. The online program can be completed full-time in one calendar year, or part-time over the course of up to three years, making it ideal for professionals looking to balance their studies with ongoing careers.


Master's in Intellectual Property
Specifically designed for non-law professionals, the MIP degree provides a comprehensive and practical understanding of intellectual property issues that are essential in today’s competitive global market. A bachelor’s degree is required for admission.
Program Details:
The program is available in both on-campus and online formats, offering flexibility to professionals across the Americas. The on-campus program is completed full-time from August to May, while the online option offers start dates in both August and January. The online program can be completed full-time in one calendar year, or part-time over a period of up to five years, making it ideal for busy professionals seeking to enhance their expertise in intellectual property while balancing their careers.
Intellectual Property Summer Institute (IPSI)
Every summer, IPSI offers law students and legal professionals the chance to explore the latest developments in intellectual property with renowned faculty, leading researchers, and experts from top companies and prestigious law firms. Participants gain valuable insights into today’s most pressing IP topics, while also building connections with influential leaders from diverse industries around the world.
This short-term program (up to two weeks) is typically held in June or July, providing an ideal opportunity for professionals to deepen their knowledge, stay ahead of emerging trends, and expand their international network.

The University of New Hampshire Franklin Pierce School of Law announces a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the Inter-American Association of Intellectual Property (ASIPI). This exclusive agreement provides scholarship opportunities for ASIPI members, facilitating global education for IP leaders across Latin America.
ASIPI is the first regional intellectual property organization in the Americas and one of the pioneering organizations worldwide in the regional sphere. Since its creation, ASIPI has been internationally recognized as a leading representative of intellectual property in the Americas. Today, ASIPI has more than 1,500 members from countries across the Americas, as well as regions like Europe, Asia, and Africa.
Since its inception, ASIPI, through the efforts of its various Executive Committees, Working Committees, and regional meetings, has played an active role in the positive and accelerated evolution of intellectual property worldwide. It has effectively and responsibly addressed emerging challenges and opportunities, while serving as a platform for the economic, social, and legal development of the countries in the region.
As an inter-American regional organization, ASIPI is an observer member of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) and actively participates in other international forums, including the World Trade Organization (WTO) and the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN).
