Christine Abely

Assistant Professor of Law

Christine Abely is an Assistant Professor of Law at the University of New Hampshire Franklin Pierce School of Law. She is an expert on economic sanctions, international trade, and compliance. She also studies contracts, property, and professional responsibility.

Professor Abely is the author of The Russia Sanctions (Cambridge University Press 2023). She has been quoted extensively in the media, including in Forbes, HuffPost, Glamour, U.S. News & World Report, The Wall Street Journal, CNN Business, and MarketWatch. She has authored op-eds, essays, and articles in the L.A. Times, The Hill, Corporate Compliance Insights, Just Security, War on the Rocks, and elsewhere.
