Professor O’Grady is an Assistant Professor of Law teaching courses in constitutional law, antitrust law, and other related subjects.  Prior to her current role, she taught Legal Research, Analysis, and Writing as an Assistant Professor of Legal Skills at UNH Franklin Pierce. Professor O'Grady's scholarship focuses on the digital economy, antitrust enforcement, and civil rights law. She is a fellow with the Thurman Arnold Project at Yale University, has served as a clinician with the Yale University Media Freedom and Information Access Clinic, and has co-authored articles published by the Tobin Center for Economic Policy. Professor O'Grady began teaching after a successful career as a litigator, serving as Senior Staff Attorney at the Project on Predatory Lending (“PPSL”), a plaintiff-side public interest litigation organization formerly housed at the Legal Services Center of Harvard Law School. At PPSL, she served as lead attorney in Administrative Procedure Act class actions against the Department of Education on behalf of over 160,000 defrauded student borrowers and argued in the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. Prior to PPSL, Professor O’Grady spent ten years as a litigator in the Regulatory and Government Affairs Department of WilmerHale in Boston, where she represented big tech and pharmaceutical companies, served for six months as a special assistant district attorney in Middlesex County, and maintained an active pro-bono practice centered on marriage equality, immigration, and voting rights. Professor O’Grady is a graduate of Harvard Law School and Wellesley College and serves on the Board of Directors of PPSL.
