Student Spotlight: Sydney Brazile, JD/MBA ‘25

Sydney Brazile

The journey of Sydney Brazile, JD/MBA ’25 has been defined by an interest in entertainment law and a deep commitment to community engagement. Those are just a couple of the reasons why she was drawn to UNH Franklin Pierce.

“I knew I’d be more than just another number,” she says. “I knew I’d have the opportunity to make a real impact. Through assuming leadership roles, fostering mentorships, and organizing events, I’ve been able to combine my passion for entertainment law with meaningful involvement that strengthens our community and helps shape the student experience.”

At the law school, she is actively involved in several student organizations, including the Student Bar Association, the Sports & Entertainment Law Society, and the Women’s Law Student Association.

Last summer, she “super-commuted” from New Hampshire to New York City for an internship with the Business & Legal Affairs Department at Sony Music Masterworks, a division of Sony Music Entertainment that focuses on live music and events. There, she gained hands-on experience working on a variety of agreements, including Broadway cast album and soundtrack agreements, artist contracts, recording licenses, and more. She also balanced her internship with courses in Technology Transfer, Intellectual Property Taxation, and MBA classes.

Her advice for prospective law students? “Try not to compare yourself to others. Whether in the application process, choosing a school, or throughout law school, everyone is likely facing similar challenges—some just hide it better than others.”
