This session is required for all students who plan to apply for fellowship funding (even if you have received funding previously).

This informational session will delve into the details of the Rudman Center Public Service Summer Fellowship program. The session will be hosted by the Rudman Center and the Career & Academic Advising Office.

Rudman Summer Fellows work closely with attorneys, gaining invaluable experience -- sitting in on case conferences, conducting legal research, drafting motions and memos, conducting interviews, reviewing evidence, and appearing in court.   In the summer of 2025, a total of 69 students worked at 44 government agencies and nonprofits that perform public interest legal work, from the NH Public Defender to the United States Court of Appeals for the First Circuit.   Visit here to see where all students worked in the summer of 2025.

Students who elect to work in a public service position over the summer, for government agencies or non-profits that perform public interest legal work, are eligible to apply for need-based funding from the Rudman Center Public Service Summer Fellowship program.  Summer Fellowships pay $12 per hour for a maximum of $4,800 over the summer term.

Information about the fellowship application requirements will be provided at this session. A completed 2026-27 FAFSA is also required for funding consideration. The form is available now. Be sure to add UNH School Code 002589.

This session will also include a financial education presentation from Jennifer Schott of AccessLex, including information about PSLF and some changes in loan repayment due to OBBBA.

We also encourage you to attend:
