Richard Samdperil
Richard Samdperil is partner at Samdperil & Welsh, PLLC in Exeter, New Hampshire. Richard currently teaches Pretrial Advocacy and Trial Advocacy to students in the Daniel Webster Scholar program. He has previously taught Criminal Law, Criminal Procedure, and various practical skills courses, and served as the Interim Director of the Criminal Practice Clinic from 2019-2020. Richard was recently a Scholar in Residence at Symbiosis Law School in Pune, India, where he taught classes focused on written and oral advocacy, and lectured on the American legal system and U.S. criminal law.
Prior to entering private practice in 2006, Richard spent 11 years with the New Hampshire Public Defender program as a trial attorney in four different counties, served as the managing attorney of NHPD’s Manchester office, and was an assistant appellate defender. Over the past 30 years, Richard has represented clients in complex and often serious criminal matters in New Hampshire state courts.
