The UNH Franklin Pierce School of Law is pleased to announce a strategic restructuring of its Associate Dean positions, with three distinguished faculty members stepping into these vital roles.

Courtney Brooks serves as the Associate Dean for Faculty. In this capacity, she oversees faculty teaching assignments and workloads, manages faculty committees including appointments and promotion and tenure, and handles the selection, hiring, and training of adjunct and visiting faculty. Additionally, Associate Dean Brooks reviews course evaluations, addresses academic-related student concerns, oversees academic unit budgets, and performs other duties in collaboration with the Associate Dean for Academic Administration. Associate Dean Brooks is also the Director of Daniel Webster Scholar Honors Program, the nation’s first and only alternative bar licensing program.

Anna Elbroch serves as the Associate Dean for Academic Administration. Associate Dean Elbroch supervises the non-residential (HJD) program coordinator and the registrar’s office. Her responsibilities also include accreditation and reporting, overseeing the Academic Affairs Advisory Committee, drafting academic procedures, collaborating with third-party vendors and instructional designers on the HJD program, and managing IT. She works closely with Associate Dean Brooks on tasks such as preparing course schedules, coordinating student academic support services, and resolving curricular and student issues. Associate Dean Elbroch is also the Director of the Legal Writing Program.

Michael McCann serves as the Associate Dean for Intellectual Life. His responsibilities include promoting and supporting legal scholarship, recognizing faculty accomplishments, overseeing junior faculty mentoring, facilitating faculty participation in institutional conferences, and reviewing summer stipend requests. Associate Dean McCann is also the Director of the Sports and Entertainment Law Institute.
