Professor Stanley Kowalski Sees a Renewed Vision for Latin America

Stanley_Kowalski
More than sixty years ago, President John F. Kennedy put forward his vision for a peaceful, prosperous Latin America, with a new initiative called the "Alliance for Progress." The president described it as a type of "Marshall Plan" for South America, although he recognized Congress would never approve a similarly massive investment. Still, the effort was built on the same idea, that economic, political, and social stability south of the United States, could only benefit the U.S. itself.

Now, six decades later, is it time to revisit the concept? And how might UNH Franklin Pierce School of Law play a role? That's what our guest today on "The Legal Impact" is thinking about. We're talking with Professor Stanley Kowalski, who teaches Legal Skills and specializes in technology transfer, intellectual property, and international development. Professor Kowalski also has a background in plant science and agriculture, and has travelled all over the world sharing his expertise in both these domains.
