Virtual Reception Honors 2021 Rudman Summer Fellows, Host Employers, Sponsors
On Tuesday, November 9, the Rudman Center hosted a virtual reception to recognize all those associated with the 2021 Rudman Summer Fellowship program. Attendees included summer fellows, host employers, and program sponsors.
Dean Megan Carpenter welcomed and thanked everyone for participating in this valuable program. John Greabe, director of the Rudman Center, noted that some 58 Rudman summer fellows contributed approximately 20,047 hours of pro bono services, mostly in NH, this past summer. Those cumulative hours – using $62.30, the mean hourly wage of lawyers in NH in 2020 – are worth nearly $1.2M in pro bono legal services to the community. He thanked the many generous donors, recognized key program sponsors, and then introduced the four student speakers who shared their summer experiences: Timothy Tyndall ‘23, Alyssa Scott ‘23, David Schvaneveldt ‘23, and Gwendolyn Parrish ’22.
