Dr. Gregor Urbas is an Associate Professor of Law at the University of Canberra, where he teaches Cybercrime, Criminal Law and Procedure, and Evidence, as well as being the Juris Doctor (J.D.) Convener. He is a co-author of the award-winning book Cyber Criminals on Trial (Cambridge University Press, 2004), a current Australian text Cybercrime: Legislation, Cases and Commentary (Lexis Nexis 2015), and numerous articles and reports on cybercrime and other criminal justice issues. He previously held positions at the Australian National University (ANU), the Australian Institute of Criminology (AIC) and the Law Council of Australia, and is an Adjunct Associate Professor at the ANU College of Law and at Simon Fraser University in Vancouver, Canada. Dr Urbas has led cybercrime study groups to Canada, the United States, Japan and South Korea, and also to Cambodia with a focus on human trafficking and justice for victims. He has presented at many international conferences as a keynote speaker or panelist.
