Sarafina and friends

Reflecting on my UNH Franklin Pierce journey fills me with a whirlwind of emotions as I prepare to bid farewell to the place that has become my home away from home over the past eight months. It's been an incredible ride, and with graduation looming just around the corner, I can't help but feel a mix of excitement and nostalgia as I look back on what has been a truly transformative experience.

From the moment I received my acceptance letter to the LLM program in Intellectual Property Law, I was filled with a sense of trepidation. Coming from a vastly different cultural background, I wasn't sure what to expect in a predominantly white state like New Hampshire. But any fears I had were quickly dispelled as I was welcomed with open arms by the faculty, staff, and fellow students at UNH Franklin Pierce. Their kindness and acceptance made me feel like I belonged from day one, and I will forever be grateful for the friendships I've forged and the memories I've made along the way.

My journey at UNH Franklin Pierce School of Law has been nothing short of remarkable, and choosing this institution for my studies in Intellectual Property Law was undoubtedly the best decision I could have made. The school's renowned expertise in IP Law is evident in its wide range of specialized courses tailored to help students achieve their aspirations in their chosen area of practice. What truly sets UNH Franklin Pierce apart, however, is its exceptional faculty. These professors not only possess profound knowledge in their respective fields but also have a remarkable ability to instill critical thinking skills in their students. Moreover, the unwavering support from other faculty members has been invaluable, especially for international students like me. Yet, beyond the academic realm, what has truly made my experience unforgettable are the activities organized by the school for international students. From the exhilarating snow tubing adventures to the heart-pounding hockey games between the University of New Hampshire and the University of Connecticut, and many more! These experiences have filled my time here with joy and excitement, creating memories that I will cherish for a lifetime.

Concord, New Hampshire, may not have been what I was expecting when I first arrived, but it has since captured my heart in ways I never imagined. Its quaint charm and natural beauty have a way of sneaking up on you, and I've come to cherish every moment spent exploring its picturesque streets and serene parks. White Park, in particular, has become my sanctuary—a place where I can escape the pressures of academia and reconnect with myself amidst the beauty of nature.

As the seasons changed, so too did my perception of Concord. Witnessing the city come alive with the vibrant colors of fall was nothing short of magical, and I'll never forget the sight of White Park bathed in hues of red, orange, pink and so many other colors. And while the winter months brought their fair share of challenges—particularly for someone accustomed to warmer climates—the sight of snowflakes drifting gently from the sky never failed to fill me with wonder.

As I prepare to say goodbye to Concord, there are certain things I know I'll miss dearly. The friendships I've formed with people from all corners of the globe, the camaraderie of the classroom, and the sense of belonging I've found within these walls. But as I look ahead to the next chapter of my life, I know that the lessons I've learned and the memories I've made will stay with me forever.

So, here's to the end of one chapter and the beginning of another. Though my time at UNH Franklin Pierce may be coming to a close, the impact it has had on me will endure for years to come. And for that, I will be forever grateful.
